posted 5 Jun 2020, 01:37 by Chorleywood Residents' Association

A sincere thank you to Chorleywood Residents' Association, Heronsgate Residents' Association and Neighbourhood Watch for providing early funding to get CCSG up and running and able to provide emergency relief where it was most needed.

With your donations, we have been able to provide the following support to the local and surrounding area:
  • Emergency Food Supplies - Food, Cleaning & Toiletries
  • Fresh fruit & veg parcels
  • Arts & Crafts packs to vulnerable children
  • Baby supplies (Nappies, wipes, OTC medicine, milk)
  • Tesco voucher scheme (particularly critical with the delay of the Government Edenred supermarket voucher scheme)
  • Senior Resident Hampers (fresh fruit, tea, biscuits, jam/honey, reading material & puzzles)
CCSG in partnership with The Stag Pub and Open Kitchens

In a mission to feed the nation Open Kitchens, the not-for-profit initiative, has teamed up with restaurants across the country to raise funds from the local community in order to provide free meals to the vulnerable during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Chorleywood Corona Support Group (CCSG) have partnered with The Stag Pub and Open Kitchens with a mission to provide free meals to struggling families in the local area. Thanks to Arun and his Chef team at The Stag Pub, they have created a variety of fresh and nutritious meals on a weekly basis for just the cost of the ingredients.

Open Kitchens is a nationwide initiative but using local connections with our school networks we are able to find beneficiaries in the local areas of Chorleywood, Mill End and Rickmansworth. Through our CCSG volunteers we have now delivered 765 fresh meals directly to these schools with the teachers then making a visit to each vulnerable child's home to ensure they are well stocked and provided for.

CCSG have been delivering these fresh meals alongside further support of fresh fruit & veg boxes, arts & crafts bags and Tesco vouchers to struggling families to ensure they are well supported during this very difficult time.

If you would like to make a donation to support CCSG in order that they can continue to support families in the local area then a donation paypal link is live and can be accessed on the CCSG website page

CCSG is in partnership with Churches in Chorleywood and Chorleywood Residents Association.
