Chorleywood Library

posted 27 Oct 2020, 06:22 by Chorleywood Residents' Association
At a virtual meeting this month with Herts Library Service (HLS), representatives from Chorleywood Library Volunteers (CLV) found there were still many unanswered questions around re-opening.  Chair, Angela Killick, says "We couldn't get a reopening date out of them - not even when we asked if it might be this side of Christmas.   There was good will and even a tiny bit of hope… but don’t hold your breath."

HLS say that, given the complexities of Covid-proofing, each library presents unique challenges and work, and there are only small numbers of staff and contractors to tackle this.

Meanwhile CLV are pleased to welcome 3 new volunteers, and are going ahead with a virtual AGM in November.    Updates are on Facebook @ChorleywoodCommunityLibrary
