Help protect Chorleywood's verges

posted 5 Jun 2020, 01:36 by Chorleywood Residents' Association
In the recent edition of TCR Jane Tozer put in a plea that we all save Chorleywood’s nice grass verges, by not parking on them and turning them into mud patches.  This plea received heartfelt support from residents.

Jane asked that we all ensure that damage caused by builders is restored after any works are completed, but another major cause of this damage is parking near schools as children are dropped off / picked up.  When schools reopen, please can we park on the road rather than the verges?  It may only be for a few seconds, but when it’s done every day the grass eventually gives up and dies.

As Jane said in TCR, Chorleywood is as good as we make it - or as bad as we let it become!
