CCSG volunteers have worked tirelessly
since the first National lockdown back in March; supporting their local
neighbours with shopping requests, prescription pickups and providing
transport for hospital and doctor appointments.
Thanks to the generosity of Lords at home who have kindly
donated £850 to CCSG, we have now been able to spread some Christmas
cheer and kindness across the village and our neighbouring town this
season.
The donation has enabled CCSG volunteers to deliver supermarket gift
cards, Christmas arts and crafts packs, treats and a small gift for
vulnerable families in our surrounding area.
Christmas community hampers were also prepared for dozens of our Senior
residents. These were packed with fresh fruit, Christmas treats,
puzzle books, jams, chutneys, crackers and homemade goodies. Most
importantly, the hampers were hand delivered by CCSG volunteers, allowing
for a doorstep chat with some of our most vulnerable community
members who have been isolated and alone since the first lockdown.
Lords Managing
Director, Tilak Patel, was delighted to be able to offer
proceeds from his Christmas sales "Local residents have come and supported Lords
throughout the lockdown period and I was keen to give something back to
the community, particularly in these very difficult times".
