Play Area Decision

After over 2.5 hours of presentations and discussion at last night's meeting, including 6 speakers allowed 3 minutes each to speak, Chorleywood Parish Council voted a majority in favour of Chorleywood House Estate for the play area.

There were 2 votes. The first was for site 15 (adjacent to the small car park by Shepherds Bridge) to be the recommended site. This was lost 9 against and 6 for with 1 abstention.
Those against were Cllrs Preedy, Dickens, Kipps, Watkins, Wood, Leeming, Worrell, White and Edwards, with Cllr Clarke abstaining.
Those for were Cllrs Copley, Davies, Green, Khiroya, Raw and Trevett.

The second vote was to recommend Chorleywood House Estate as the preferred location. This was carried by 10 votes to 6.
Those for were Cllrs Preedy, Dickens. Kipps, Watkins, Wood, Clarke, Leeming, Worrell, White and Edwards.
Those against were Cllrs Copley, Davies, Green, Khiroya, Raw and Trevett.

It should be noted that Cllr Morris was not in attendance and so did not vote.
