Louise Thomson, a former winner of the harp finals at the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales, will perform a highly eclectic mix of virtuoso harp compositions. Her programme for Three Rivers Music Society will have a strong French flavour, with works by Gabriel Fauré, Marcel Tournier and Claude Debussy. Louise will also be playing music by two maestros from earlier eras -- Mikhail Glinka and Domenico Scarlatti – and by contemporary musicians such as US jazz guitarist Pat Metheny and Scottish singer and harpist, Mary Ann Kennedy. The concert will be held on Friday, 3rd May at the Baptist Church in High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1EH. It will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets £16 at the door. Reduced price for members. Free entry for under-25s. Further information at www.trms.elgar.org |
