Chorleywood Unites

posted 13 Feb 2013, 11:50 by Tomo
For a number of years, residents of Chorleywood have pondered the wisdom of having two residents’ associations – one covering the Chenies Estate only (Chenies Estate Residents’ Association - CERA) and another serving the rest of Chorleywood (Chorleywood Residents’ Association - CRA).

As many residents will know, historically CERA has covered an area that was formerly part of Buckinghamshire until the county boundary changes back in 1991.

Last summer the Chairs of the two associations began talks on how the organisations could better work together for the benefit of Chorleywood residents. Following much discussion the CERA Executive Committee decided to recommend to their membership that they formally join forces with CRA to form one united residents association serving the whole of Chorleywood.

At the CERA AGM held on the evening of 7th February 2013 the CERA members voted unanimously to support this proposal. John Foggo, the CERA Chair, said “he was pleased the membership had supported the proposal as he felt it was the right move for CERA members and for Chorleywood as a whole.” Debbie Rosario, the CRA Chair, said “she was delighted to welcome the CERA members into CRA and looked forward to working with them to create a united residents’ association that would better serve Chorleywood.”
