![]() This Saturday sees the annual Chorleywood Village Day take place on the Common Many businesses, organisations and clubs from the village and surrounding areas will be represented, with fun and activities for all the family, from 12pm to 4pm. The Chorleywood Residents' Association will be present with our own stall, so come along and enjoy a Pimms, and tell us what your concerns are, or what you would like to see the committee doing for the village.
Chorleywood is often infamous for is assocation with the Chorleywood Bread Process which was developed in 1961 by the British Baking Industries Research Association which were based at Chorleywood, and is now used to make 80% of the UK's bread. As reported in the Watford Observer, as part of Chorleywood Village Day on July 9, members of the Real Bread Campaign will be spreading their message and the benefits of buying traditionally made bread as part of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Chorleywood Bread Process. Baker Paul Jones’ and his mobile wood-fired oven will give people the chance to try making traditional bread and pizzas. We look forward to welcoming members and residents alike - see you there! |
