A new website, ‘Chorleywood Mums’ launches today and is aimed at providing information for parents who want to meet up, find out about local events and take part in activities together.
The website was founded and created by Chorleywood resident and mother of two, Simone Tyson.

Simone explained to the Residents' Association that Chorleywood and the surrounding area is a fantastic community, full of families, and I wanted to create a website that would enable parents to quickly and easily discover what events are taking place, how and where they can meet other local parents and what activities they can take part in. Being a stay at home parent herself can sometimes feel lonely, particularly for first time mums;  I hope this website will enable local families to meet others in the area and realise that there are a huge array of daily activities that they can participate in, both with and without their children.
The website, which is written by local mums collating ideas and helpful tips, carries a broad range of local listings including information on childcare, days out, local support networks, rainy day play ideas and child friendly eateries.
As well as extensive details about local activities, Chorleywood Mums also includes a host of information such as tips for new mums and mums returning to work, topical features on issues such as food allergies in children, a ‘marketplace’ where items can be sold, swapped or donated and discount voucher codes for use in local and online retailers.

The Residents' Association is happy to support Simone's new website, and hopes that her project can benefit Chorleywood and the wider local community. If there are any aspects of local life that need an online presence that are not provide for so far let us know at
