posted 25 Mar 2013, 09:01 by Debbie Rosario
In November 2012 Hertfordshire voted David Lloyd to become the county's Police and Crime Commissioner, a new role introduced by the Government to bring direct democratic accountability to local policing. As part of his role Mr Lloyd sets the policing and community safety priorities for the county on behalf of residents, businesses and communities. These include planning for the prevention of crime, tackling drugs and anti-social behaviour.

David Lloyd will be delivering a public lecture in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire to discuss his role as Police and Crime Commissioner and his new plan for the county entitled 'Everyone's Business'.
