Dog Control Orders for Chorleywood House Estate

posted 17 Nov 2012, 09:03 by Unknown user
We reported earlier in the year that Dog Control orders may be introduced further limiting the scope for dog walking within some parts of Chorleywood.

It would appear that in the papers for the upcoming Three Rivers Leisure and Community Safety Policy and Scrutiny Committee (that just rolls off the tounge!) on the 21st November that as a result of further consultation undertaken over the summer the proposal is to:
  1. Not to introduce dog control orders at the current time
  2. To review and propose further dog bins at the site.
You can see the papers on the TRDC website and we've also uploaded a copy to our website
The Residents' Association has been concerned about the use of public spaces in Chorleywood by professional dog walkers with multiple dogs, and the level of dog fouling. We even funded the installation of additional dog bins around Chorleywood Common from the Assoication's funds.

We will be monitoring this development carefully.
