Grazing on the Common - Update

Following the Chorleywood Parish Council Meeting, held on 28th September, Cllr Jarrett was asked why the cattle were not yet on the Common:
Apparently the grazier considered that there was not enough grass. Lark's Meadow, on chalk, drains very quickly after rain, and the grass is not as lush as on some other parts of the Common. Unfortunately, therefore, the next grazing may not be until next Spring.
