Sharing of Health Data - Invitation to a Public Meeting

posted 16 Jan 2015, 10:53 by Unknown user
Healthwatch Hertfordshire are holding an event called Your Data: You Tell Us Event on the 2nd February 2015, 09:30-14:00 at Douglas Tilbe House, in partnership with Commissioners and Hospital Trusts.
Members of the public are invited to express their views on how their health and social care data is shared across services within Hertfordshire and beyond. They want to know what you know about how your medical information is currently shared, and how you feel about the way your information may be shared in the future. The information you provide will be fed back to influence future plans on this topic in Hertfordshire. Example questions we need answers to are:
•         Whether you be happy with your GP sharing your medical information with hospitals, charities or the police?
•         Are you happy for your information to be used to plan services for the future?
•         Should you always be asked for your consent before any of your information is shared, no matter who it is with?
Further details about the event can be seen on the Info Share Ad poster below. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and a finalised agenda will be sent out on the 19th January.

If you are interested in attending the event, or require more information, please do not hesitate to contact the Healthwatch Hertfordshire office on 01707 275 978 or email or
