Annette, on behalf of the Residents Association has spoken to Alison at Three Rivers District Council who confirmed that at the Full Council meeting in February 2010, members agreed in principle a budget of £95,000 for a new play area in Chorleywood during the financial year 2011/2012. The Council sets an outline three year capital programme budget, but it will confirm the budget is available for 2011/2012 at the Full Council meeting in February 2011.

Before this date three other play areas are being replaced and upgraded (South Oxhey playing fields site, Ashburnham and Oulton Way play areas) during this financial year. Three Rivers District Council is currently inviting tenders for these works and are scheduled to take place in September of this year.

Following completion of this contract Three Rivers will then start to plan the following years' works which also includes upgrading play areas in Scotsbridge and Ashridge as well as in Chorleywood.
