Closure of the A404 between Rickmansworth and M25 J18

Update Fri 1st March: It looks like the works planned for the weekend of 1st to 4th March have been postponed until later in March, but the information supplied by Herts CC to their roadworks database still shows a road closure this weekend and we've still not been able to get an assurance that the road is not closed this weekend.

Hertfordshire County Council have given advance notice of the closure of the A404 Chorleywood Road between Junction 18 of the M25 and the Rickmansworth Station Roundabout.

The road will be closed enable highway maintenance works and resurfacing to take place during the period Friday 1st March and Monday 4th March 2013.

It would appear that the bulk of the work will take place between over the weekend (exact times uncertain, but assumed not to be diring rush hours on Friday or Monday) as these are the dates stated for the complete closure of the road but clearly there there is the potential for some local ongoing disruption during the week before and the week after.
