What needs fixing in Chorleywood?

posted 14 Oct 2012, 13:12 by Tomo
Our local County Councillor, Chris Haywood has invited us to attend a meeting whereby we can influence the distribution of monies allocated to him by Hertfordshire County Council on discretionary schemes and repairs within his Chorleywood, Sarratt and Hunton Bridge County Division.

As part of that process Chris will be holding a meeting with interested parties, and the Chorleywood Residents Association is invited.
We intend at attend the meeting (after having missed the meeting last year due to short notice given) and need to come prepared with ideas of our preferred priority spend. To help inform us, we would be grateful to receive any feedback on any highways issues that could benefit from some attention.

Chris has provided examples of some of the schemes that received funding last year to give us an idea of the scale of the opportunity and funds available:
  • Footway Resurfacing – Brushwood Drive, Chorleywood - £34,000
  • Footway Resurfacing – Gallows Hill, Abbots Langley - £25,000
  • Carriageway Repairs – Church Lane, Sarratt - £19,000
  • Road Markings – Hamilton Road, Abbots Langley - £2,000
  • Speed and Volume Survey – Hamilton Road, Abbots Langley - £1,000
  • Speed and Volume Survey – Dog Kennel Lane, Chorleywood - £1,000
  • Haunching and Ditching Works – Old Shire Lane - £1,000
  • Repairs to Access Ways – Valley Road, Chorleywood - £7,000
We have some of our own ideas, but can you help us with any ideas for funding of local issue that we've not thought of?
We need to know by Monday 5th November - let us know at transport@chorleywoodresidents.co.uk
