Chorleywood Residents’ Association will be holding their Community & Annual General Meeting at 8pm on Wednesday 16th May at the Memorial Hall, Common Road, Chorleywood.

Chris Hope, Head of Leisure Services at Three Rivers DC will give a talk on the proposed Play Area for Chorleywood, followed by an Open Forum.

Are you interested in your community? Want to find out what the Association has been doing on your behalf throughout the year?  Why not become a committee member?

The committee meets every six weeks to discuss a range of local issues, such as planning, potholes and dog fouling to name a just a few.  They produce a twice yearly newsletter delivered to members by dedicated road reps.

Our work has grown over the last 2 to 3 years due to the energy of those who are passionate about our village.  We have developed a website, send regular emails to members who subscribe, have improved our newsletter and attend both the Village Day and Christmas Shopping nights so that residents know we are here.

Any resident in Chorleywood can join us for just £4.00 a year. We now have a dedicated phone line that takes messages which are directed to the relevant committee members for those who are not web aware.  Please give us a call on 01923 537637 and someone will get back to you to help with your query or concern.

A number of our committee members are retiring this year so we are on the look out for people who care about local issues, we particularly need someone with admin skills to organise our meetings and type minutes and generally keep us in order.  We also need someone who can help us develop our website further and update it so that our information is current.  Planning takes time too and help with this is always welcome.

So why not come along to our meeting, have a glass of wine and chat to us about what the association is doing on your behalf and the opportunities to join the committee”

If you require a lift to the meeting please call and leave a message one the committee members would be more than happy to collect you and drop you home again!
