Dear all What a change a few days can make.... from a
dreary July to full on summer. Let's hope that the weather is set fair
for the rest of the summer! What's On
We were disappointed that the Village Day was not able to go ahead
as planned on the 14th July, but in the event the Parish certainly took
the right decision as the weather wasn't up to much on the day, and the
common would have been very waterlogged. We're preparing for the
rescheduled Village Day on the 8th September. Remember that the Council
will be consulting on the Chorleywood Play Area at Village Day.

Education
The Dept for Education have announced that the new Free School for Three Rivers has been approved. Environment The French have sold our water company and the hosepipe ban is suspended The County Council are consulting on a new Flood Risk
Management strategy, and based on our recent experience of flooded
roads, this should be quite an important issue for Chorleywood, but can
you help? Three Rivers have again won Green Flag awards for our local parks. The local council is responsible for a lot of the local woodland. But do you have a view on how they should manage it? Health Do you know of places where cheap or illegal tobacco is available in Herts? Transport Two road closures slated for Heronsgate Road in coming weeks. And
it looks like the County Council may be getting on with installing the
School crossing this week outside St Clement Danes school.
